As a student, we do need to select a major for our occupation and it has become very critical. In today's market, we have to choose the major that is best no matter what your dream was attributed. As for me, I have been dreaming to be a teacher since I was a child. I love teaching and sharing my vivids knowledge to others especially who is still learning for their future life. I also believed that "teaching" is a gift from God.
In reality, teaching is not as popular as it used to be. In addition, my family suggested to take a nursing course because that is a major population in every year and people are having problems with health in their lives. Therefore, health educators are in need and job secure. I have to put a lot of effort in that situation. Perhaps it is very difficult for me to decide whether to take a teaching or nursing course. At the same time, I really want to learn about biology, which will teach us how to take care our health and body that God has amazingly created. Also, nursing can be saving lives to those who need it. Finally, I have decided to take a nursing course to be a health educator. Hopefully, one day, I will save somone's life if God has planned.

When I read your post, I found it very interesting, because it talks about an issue that faced many students. People sometimes do not know which major they should choose. People are often confronted to the great dilemma which is to choose a major corresponding to the job they would like to have in the future or to choose a job that would give them a financial security. For my personal case, I faced the same problem when I had to choose between continuing in Aerospace engineering or switch into Petroleum engineering. I decided to choose petroleum because it will allow me to have a job opportunity in home country, while aerospace will not since there is no aeronautical industry in a near future in Cameroon.
